Eye-tracking in teaching methods of reading in English

This article deals with the optimization of the process of performing reading tasks, based on Business English Certificates international exam. As part of the study, to evaluate the effectiveness of traditionally proposed reading strategies, as well as to identify new ones an experiment with an appliance of eye-tracking was conducted. The article also focuses on the types of reading, particularly on the phenomenon of “effective reading” and its principles.
