Use of typographic tools in nonconventional functions in the modern novel

Literary works of contemporary authors are distinguished by the use of various formal-typographic means: a space, italics, boldface, etc. This is due to the desire of the authors to bring the written speech of oral speech as close as possible: intonation to highlight the statements, to highlight the pauses, as well as the most important concepts.
The article deals with the formal-typographic means-italics.The aim of the study is to determine the textual functions of italics in modern literature.
