Linguistic and semantic diversity of the ergonyms of Barcelona

Abstract

Ergonyms are important layer of the city toponymy, units of language that vividly and clearly show changes in lexis. This article provides an overview of studies dedicated to the state of affairs in the research of ergonyms, their classifications, and functions and analysis of language diversity that forms the ergonimy of Barcelona.
