Abstract

In the modern world, people try to spend every hour of their lives as efficiently as possible, including sleeping time. This article will consider the method of teaching a foreign language during a natural physiological sleep, which is studied by the science of hypnopaedia. The purpose of this article is to find out how information technology has facilitated the process of learning in sleep over time and how they can be used in practice, as well as stating advantages and disadvantages of the hypnopedic method of learning a foreign language. Analysis and synthesis of specific literature and Internet resources were used as research methods, as well as specialized programs and applications. The study examined the work of domestic scientists in the sphere of speech perception during physiological sleep and on the basis of this the possibility of studying a foreign language while sleeping was considered. The result of the study is a step- by-step instruction on the use of the hypnopedic technique in general, as well as its light version using modern information technologies. In the conclusion of the study, it is clarified why the hypnotic method of studying a language is underestimated and how this situation can be rectified. Directions of development in this sphere are determined.
